Thanks to our innovative solutions, we have managed to minimize the limitations of traditional Single-Ended circuits while preserving their unique character.

Single-Ended Architecture
The CS100 is incorporating four two-stage circuits, each with local feedback. All are implemented in a Single-Ended topology. This architecture, where all stages use the same topology, offers significant advantages. First and foremost, it ensures consistency in sound across the entire signal path, from input to output. Additionally, the distortions in individual amplifier stages have a similar characteristic (including generating similar harmonic structures), making them less bothersome for the listener compared to a mix of distortions with varied characteristics.
Class AB for Greater Efficiency
Traditional Single-Ended amplifiers operate in Class A, which is characterized by low efficiency and high power consumption. Thanks to our innovative approach to the Single-Ended topology, the final stage in the CS100 operates in Class AB mode. This solution allows for higher energy efficiency while maintaining the low distortion typical of Class A.
Negative Output Impedance of the Current Buffer for Control and Precision
In the final stage of the CS100, we applied a combination of positive and negative feedback, which results in the amplifier having an effectively negative output impedance. Sounds complicated? In simple terms, this means that the amplifier actively responds to the behavior of the speaker, ensuring its optimal working conditions.
What benefits come with this solution?
An amplifier with negative output impedance better controls the movement
of the speaker diaphragm, which results in greater precision and sound dynamics, especially in the low-frequency range.
Negative output impedance helps in damping unwanted speaker resonance, resulting in a cleaner and more natural sound.
Transients are sudden changes in the audio signal, such as a drum hit. Negative output impedance allows the amplifier to respond to these changes more quickly, resulting in a more accurate and realistic sound.
It’s important to remember that speakers are the most distorting element in the entire audio chain. Negative output impedance of the amplifier helps minimize the impact of these distortions and fully unlock the potential of the speakers, which significantly improves the overall quality of the audio system.
Lack of Global Feedback
In the CS100, we consciously opted out of a global feedback loop in favor of local feedback in each amplifier stage. While feedback is commonly used in amplifiers to reduce distortion and improve certain parameters, it also has its drawbacks. The main issue with amplifiers using feedback is Transient Intermodulation Distortion (TIM), which occurs due to delays in the feedback loop. These distortions negatively affect the dynamics and naturalness of the sound, particularly when dealing with musical signals of significant structural complexity. Through eliminating global feedback in the CS100, we avoided the issue of TIM and ensured a linear, undisturbed flow of the audio signal through the individual stages of the amplifier.
This resulted in:

The absence of global feedback allows
for a more accurate reproduction of the natural timbre of instruments and vocals.
By eliminating TIM distortions, the amplifier more accurately reproduces all the nuances and subtleties of the recording.
